Your file will be transferred, by law, to the Bucks County Tax Claim Bureau. By February 1st of the next year they will be able to advise you of the status and amount needed to release the lien on your property. As of January 1st following the year taxes were billed, I will no longer have your file and can no longer accept payments for the
previous year. You can call the Bucks County Tax Claim Bureau at 215-348-6274.
An Interim Tax Bill is generated by the Board of Assessment when the value of the property changes during the year. It could be prompted by a new home on a previously vacant lot, an addition to your home, a new garage or other permanent improvement. The bill is for a partial year and is in addition to the regular bill that you may have already received and paid. It could be for prior years. In the future this revised assessment will be included with your regular annual bill. If you receive an Interim Bill and you have questions, please call me or the Bucks County Board of Assessment at 215-348-6219. Please also note that you may receive 2 or 3 bills, one for county/ township, and a separate 1 or 2 for the school district. This is caused by when the effective date of the new assessment is determined. It may cross over two school tax years. If you receive bills for Co/Twp and for School, please send separate checks. School funds and co/twp funds are deposited into separate accounts.
